About these terms

These terms apply when you reserve or attend an indoor cycling class run by Joyride Indoor Cycling at JD Fitness Studio, Lidlington Place, London NW1 2JU. By confirming a booking, you agree to the version shown to you at that time.

A booking is accepted when we show an on-screen confirmation or send a confirmation email. If there is a conflict between that confirmation and these terms, please contact us so we can put it right.

01

Bookings and payment

  • A standard class lasts 45 minutes and costs £10 per rider unless the booking page clearly shows another price.
  • Your reservation holds the number of bikes shown in your confirmation. Please check the class date, time and number of riders before you confirm.
  • You pay at the studio. The website does not take payment or store card details.
  • Bookings depend on capacity. A technical error or duplicate booking does not require us to exceed the safe number of riders, but we will contact you and offer a reasonable alternative where possible.
  • You must give accurate contact details so we can confirm the booking and tell you about any change that affects your class.
Booking for someone else?

Please make sure every rider knows these terms, is able to take part safely, and follows the instructor’s directions.

02

Cancellations and changes

If you need to cancel

Please tell us as soon as you can by calling 07929 735 971. There is currently no online cancellation charge because payment is taken at the studio. Giving notice lets another rider use the bike.

If bookings are repeatedly missed without notice, we may speak with you before accepting more reservations. We will act reasonably and consider the circumstances.

If we change or cancel a class

We may change the instructor, timetable or studio arrangements when reasonably needed. If we must cancel a class, you will not have to pay for it. We will use the contact details in your booking to let you know and, where possible, help you choose another class.

The statutory cooling-off right that applies to some distance contracts does not normally apply to leisure services booked for a specific date or period. This does not affect any other rights you have under consumer law.

03

Riding safely

Indoor cycling is physical exercise and carries an ordinary risk of strain, falls, faintness and other injury. You remain responsible for deciding whether the class is suitable for you.

  • If you are new to Joyride, arrive at least 10 minutes early so we can help set up your bike and explain safe use.
  • Tell the instructor before class about an injury, pregnancy, health issue or other concern that may affect safe participation. Do not put detailed medical history in the booking form.
  • Ask a qualified medical professional before taking part if you are unsure whether exercise is suitable for you.
  • Follow the instructor’s safety directions, use the equipment as shown, control your own resistance and stop if you feel pain, faintness or unusual shortness of breath.
  • Wear suitable clothing and footwear, bring water, and do not take part while affected by alcohol, recreational drugs, or medication that makes exercise unsafe.
  • Late entry may be refused when it would be unsafe or disrupt the class.

If you are under 18, contact us before booking. We may require consent from a parent or guardian and may decide that a class is not suitable for an unaccompanied young person.

04

Conduct and belongings

Treat the instructor, other riders, staff, premises and equipment with care and respect. We may refuse entry or ask someone to leave for unsafe, abusive, discriminatory or seriously disruptive behaviour. This will not affect any legal rights they may have.

Keep personal belongings secure and bring only what you need. We are not responsible for loss or damage that we could not reasonably prevent, but nothing in these terms removes responsibility where the law does not allow it.

05

Our responsibility to you

We will provide the class with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, breach of your statutory rights, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

We are not responsible for a failure or delay caused by events outside our reasonable control. If this affects your class, we will take reasonable steps to reduce the impact and tell you when practical.

The website may link to services run by other organisations, such as Instagram, maps or third-party booking partners. Their own terms apply when you use them.

06

Privacy, changes and the law

Our privacy notice explains how we use booking and contact information.

We may update these terms when the service or law changes. New terms apply to bookings made after the updated date. The terms accepted when you booked continue to apply to that booking unless a change is required by law or benefits you.

English law governs these terms. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, except that a consumer living elsewhere in the UK may also use the courts where they live.
